- Get 1 Bamboo basket (10" size) for steaming
- Prepare 1 Banana Leaf for lining
- Prepare 1 Nonstick Wok with lid for steaming water
- Take 1 plate for spreading rice
- Take 1 medium bowl for mixing
- Get 8 toothpick sticks
Instructions to make Ji-Fan Dimsum • Chicken Porcupine • Chicken Flower Dumpling:
- In a medium bowl, add all thr ingredients except rice and water.
- Let the mix marinate for 10 minutes.
- Line the Bamboo Basket with Banana Leaf and set aside.
- Heat 800 ml water in wok till it bubbles. Keep it covered with lid.
- Roll out 8 equal pieces of the chicken mix.
- Spread the presoaked rice over a plate and roll the chicken Balls over it firmly and place on the Banana leaf lined in the Bamboo Basket. Keep a little space for allowing expansion of rice.
- Push in 1 toothpick stick in each dumpling to help pick up after cooking.
- Place the Bamboo Basket in the warm water wok and cover it with lid.
- Steam the basket for 20-25 minutes or till the rice is steamed well.
- After 20-25 serve the Dumplings immediately with Oriental Sauce/Dip/Momo Sauce or just have it without anything.
